Reflection

My overall feelings of this project were good, I enjoyed doing it and it is something that affects me daily. I enjoy it because it was something I was raised apart of and it taught me lessons that I would like to pass down to my own kids one day, My main problem with this project is it was hard to find time to print my actual pieces I created as well as its hard to express this lifestyle to people who have never seen it. I hope in the future more people open their views to new and old communities and cultures around the world. People may consider modifying cars a waste of time or even a ruining it, but that's what the community is about standing out and coming together for something you appreciate and enjoy as a whole. My main weakness is I wish I had the opportunity to talk with local law enforcement about the affects of lowriders on communities and even some of the original leaders of clubs in the area on how they want to help their surrounding community and influence kids to make it through school to have a career. The most important thing I or any one can learn about this project is that what other people say about you shouldn't affect you, the things we create and visualize can be seen as an extension of ourselves. We build these rolling pieces of art to express our self beliefs and the things we value as important. It shouldn't be about how much a man has in his pocket but how much is in his mind and heart. If I was given the chance to do this project again Lowriders would be my first pick, but if not I would do another car culture that I enjoy. My life revolves around cars no matter what kind or type I love them all and no one can change that.
